My first account was in 2011, but I lost the password and email. I didn't become active on the forum until 2014 or 2015 anyhow. I was 31 then. I joined for Master of Magic after going to one of those abandonware sites and being linked to it here.
Joined in 2016 (22 years old) but started using GOG full-time only in October 2017, my first normal purchase (aside from free games) being Grim Dawn.

Until then, I only ever bought retail boxes. Never made a direct purchase on any digital game platform besides GOG.

And to think there are some who claim all of those sites have no morals and do no good. ;)

Joakingdom: I'm almost 26, and btw: at what age did you guys join GOG?
Let me put it this way: I could be your dad.
Let's leave it at that.

Hey gramps, poking the wall/ceiling/floor with my broom and telling other users to be quiet is my schtick now. ;D

At the age of 28, i only found out about GOG when Gurumin showed up, though it was a broken game for like almost 3 years here until it finally got fixed.
But that didn't stop me from buying other games once i found out they also accept paysafecards and the drm-free downloads were actually what i was looking in a store..

no, I was 31 in 2011. we're not that far apart, but I've guessed that from your actual posts.

At 35... found GOG while trying to find the English version of HoMM 1 on an abandonware site (because the German version which I own on disk has a shitty translation).

Listen kid, there is always someone older, faster, richer...

When I joined I was middle-aged and guess I still am.

I did hear about GOG when they shut down their beta service back in 2008 but they reopening shortly after went me by for two years. Then I was recommended the shop in 2010 but did not get around to making an account until a year later as I had my hands full with RS (a mmorpg) and games on discs.
I think i was around 17 or 18. Was really nice to find this one of a kind store. So many good games and amazing people to see in one place. Wish i joined earlier :). Cheers

Also what do you mean by "actual posts"? All of em are me actual posts. :D

But yeah, it would seem we're very close in age.

You know, the ones where you're not telling us your age.

GameRager: Runescape?
Yes, nowadays a pay to win game owned by people who do not play games themselves.

Reminds me of many good MMOs...run into the ground or milked for all they're worth by greedy execs/etc.
I enter to gog five years ago with the purpose to pick the bonus of Beneath a Steel Sky. Months later i claimed the Battle Realms game because it came with the expansion, never released in Spain.

Years passed and i´ve forgot my account until they put Syberia for free, and so on. My first purchase was Still Life 2 because i had the game on steam but i need the drm-free data to play the game on a pc without internet.

Now i´ve purchase more than a hundred games and gog it´s my priority platform.
