Hi everyone,
I have Windows 10. I recently encountered unresolved issues with the Galaxy function not properly saving my game files. So I deleted everything GoG game and Galaxy to begin anew.

This is what is would ask assistance with:
-How do I download/install my game onto Windows 10 without using Galaxy or the GOG downloader?
-Where do I save it to ("Save As" selection)?
-How to open/play it?
-How to access saved files?

I understand Windows 10 has been a lot more complicated to previous versions, and it doesn't function exactly the same way. I really don't want to mess anything up or do it incorrectly. I'm not a pc expert, so a step-by-step "Game Download on Windows 10 for PC Gamer Dummies" would be greatly appreciated!

Why was it not saving? Should have worked on that first before deleting everything.

Find the game in your library on this website. Click on the 'Classic Installers' to start the DL through the browser (if the Classic installers aren't on the front page you can find them by clikcing on the More tab on the game page). Your browser should default to DLing into the Windows10 Downloads folder.

Once you have all the game files in one folder, double click on the .exe file (leave the .bin files as is if the game has any) and start the installation. You can direct the installer to install wherever you want. NOTE: it is highly recommended that you DO NOT install your games to the Programs or Programsx86 folder on your machine. Win10 is picky about write permissions and if you install to those folders it can sometimes interfere with the game.

Once the game's installed you should have an icon on your desktop. Simply double click on that icon to launch the game.

Save files are located in different folders, depending on the game. You'll have to ask about each individual game to find those.

Vorpal_Spoon: Hi everyone,etc., etc.
What GR00T says ^.

Let me add another step at the end. Once you have the game installed, make a backup copy of the installer files you downloaded. That way, you can install and uninstall those titles at will without having to go through the download process again.

Good luck.
heres to sum up all 3
Classic Installer = download folder
GOG.com Downloader = C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com < yes you can still download this and use this :P
gog Galexy = C:\Program Files (x86)\gog Galaxy

" not properly saving my game files." ingame saves or just files not being saved if files certain game or all games?
