I still haven't received any answers when I posted this question in the specific GOG subforum for this game, so hopefully it can get answered here.

For those of you who play Mount & Blade: Warband, my question is basically how long does the information you get from assessing the local prices in marketplace last? If I were to go for all the options, buy everything from the town that I can turn into profit in other towns (based on the information I got from assessing the local prices in the town's marketplace), and just travel to those towns one by one to sell the goods, at which point will that information become obsolete and the goods in my inventory become unprofitable to sell? A day? Two days? Three days? Perhaps more?

Thanks! :)

Hello.

Are you playing Vanilla or with any specific mod?

In vanilla It depends on a number of things like how are the state of affairs of the current kingdoms for example.
If states are at war, this will affect how Lords and Kings handle caravans and therefore how much they're able to trade and thus able to lower the prices through natural market processes.
If states are at peace with each other, caravans may be able to reach their destination easier. But then there's how rich cities are and how good is their lord's patrolling, because bandits also attack caravans and therefore complicates things for the prices avaiable through the skill.

--edit.
I'd say that depending on how long your current save is, the change is quite fast because of so many things happening all the time. My guess is 2~4 days for a 25%~50% variation also depending on which city you're trading to. More remote cities tend to have higher prices for some specific products based on region, thus price variation is lower, central cities like Suno and Dhirim for example tend to change prices faster If I remember correctly.

I see. Thanks a lot for your answer! :)

As for your question on whether I'm playing Vanilla or a mod, I'm actually playing the Perisno mod.

Oh! The famous and awesome Perisno mod.
Unfortunately the informations I provided may not apply then, as Perisno is a total convertion mod.
I have no idea how they changed trading. :P

That's true. That said, I think the only difference would obviously be the fact that such cities which are in the vanilla version won't exist in the mod. In terms of trading, I don't think, or more like I don't see why they would change the trading mechanics or system that has already been implemented by the developers of the game seeing how robust the economic system of the game already is (something that I really like). But then again, I agree with you in that there's always the possibility that the mod developers might have tweaked the trading a little bit to some extent to fit more with the lore or something like that (not that I see how trading should differ between the realistic and fantasy settings though).
