As above.

I was wondering if anyone has used PledgeMusic as a pledger or artist and how you got on. I've pledged on the My Vitriol 'new album' but it's not going great...

I've used it three times now.

The first two times went smoothly. The third one (Rachel Yamagata's new album) it's almost a year late but PledgeMusic has nothing to do with that, and there's been updates about the progress.

It bugs me how PledgeMusic don't get involved. :-(

I see. I know Kickstarter has certain rules in place now but that's because there have been HUGE failed projects there.

EDIT:

I found this on the FAQ:

Please note that the artist’s team is responsible for fulfilment. The fulfilment date can be subject to change, but we’ll make sure to keep you updated and details will be available in the ‘Updates’ tab on the project page. After all, it’s an artistic process! In the unlikely event that a pledge item isn’t fulfilled, we provide a full refund – a guarantee that other sites don’t offer.

That's a plus, I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed as I'd much rather the music than a refund.
