What it says on the tin. For those who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a writing event that takes place each year in November. Basically the goal is to write 50000 words of fiction in a month. This will be my ninth year participating and I've always had a lot of fun. I was curious to see if there are any other people on here thinking of taking part. It might be fun to add a few writing buddies to my list.

Haha, nice! Let me know if you decide to join in and want a writing buddy. :)
I just signed up. It's a bit daunting. Over 1600 words per day. What if I run out?

Re-use some of them.
If a hack like JK Rowling can do it, I feel positive we can. :P

I like how you think!
Well, I have to do that anyway - but not for a novel... hmmm... I used to smash 2000 words in a couple of hours before my editor came round to pick up my submissions though - and on a zero sleep regieme...
Hmm, I might give it a go.

And Stephenie Meyer makes J.K. Rowling look like J.R.R. Tolkien or Frank Herbert.

I can't do anything creative to save my life, so probably not. :P

It is really bad when someone can make J K look good lol. Stephanie Meyer is reeeally bad.

Wow, did you manage to complete the challenge on each occasion? I've considered it over the years but don’t really have the time.
No... I usually lack ideas and can't string a good story together... plus it would probably end up as smut...
All right, in case anyone wants to add me, this is my profile.

I can write fiction pretty quickly. If I'm at a good speed 1000 words takes me about twenty minutes. Mind you, that is working with an outline and keeping in mind that it's just a first draft. I certainly don't write that quickly for my essays. :P

Haha, well it might be a fun challenge, even if you don't make it to 50000. :P

All except the very first year. I was still getting used to things then and I hadn't yet figured out that I was a planning kind of person who does better with an outline. :) This November is going to be my busiest yet as I have several difficult classes and I have to make preparations for my master's dissertation, but we'll see how it goes.

Well, there is a plot adoption forum on the site. :P And nothing wrong with some good smut, is there? ;)
