Unless things have changed that's correct. But it's either go with a Logitech controller, which has better support (old and new games), or X1 (mostly "newer" games).

I think you meant F510, F310 doesn't have vibration. (which can actually be toggled on/off on F510)

The Logitech F510 was <span class="bold">discontinued</span> in North America in 2012.  You can easily find a used or refurbished F510, but it's hard to find a brand new one.

Yeah, actually it's not just discontinued in North America but pretty much everywhere else i think. So while the wired version of the F710 is technically the F510, it's isn't officially available anymore so the closest version is naturally the F310.

I wished i knew. I mentioned a possible reason on another similiar thread but i doubt it since it dun make sense to me. Personally i liked the F510 as well, it's a shame it got discontinued. I hope a new & better version for it appears soon.

Well, it 'might' be a possibility but given the no. of competing similiar controllers to F510 by other brand manufacturers in the mkt, i wld say that is unlikely.

As i had sort of explained in the other thread, ppl looking to buy the F510 probably choose it as they prefer a wired controller with rumble. The removal or absence of F510 wld not necessary push consumers towards both ends of the spectrum, namely the F310 &/or F710. So unless those buyers r loyal or fans of Logitech, they wld most likely look elsewhere to find similiar products to F510 instead.

I just use my ps2 controller to play my games with. I just use x360ce to convert the controller to a xinput. Since most of the newer games aren't compatible with directinput sadly. Only a handful do. Like Trine and the Ys games for example. However most developers don't bother so it's up to me to use x360ce files and copy them from one game folder to the next. :)

I have a xbox360 controller.
Works with most games.
I also have a Logitech dual action gamepad
but in some games it ends up being wery weird configured so i usually just end up using my 360 pad annyway.
