I do from time to time. It's like my zen game - I play it just to zone out and relax (though it can get pretty stressful from time to time).

markrichardb: According to the Amazon listings, Excalibur is also publishing physical copies of American Truck Simulator in February. In my experiences so far with these small independent British publishers like Excalibur, Lace Games, and Merge Games, they tend to leave out the online DRM and have the products work right out of the box.
Hmm... It seems that some users on Amazon confirm that is does install & work without the need of an internet connection and the devs actually have the patches available on their website too. I think I'll look for some more info (regarding the DLCs) when I return back home and then I'll think about getting it.

R8V9F5A2: Big apologies, I should have been more accurate, I was too busy complaining: the "DRM-free" version requires a one-time activation code. So its not 100% DRM-free !

markrichardb: When it comes to DRM I usually just refer to the online sort. My physical copy from Excalibur publishing on Amazon contains a product code but it didn't need to be connected to the Internet (I disconnected in advance to be sure), and its still a few pounds cheaper than the Steam version.
That's good to know, when I got the game I assumed you needed the activation codes and therefore did not try playing the game without activating them first.

only single player planning to start playing again once i get the recently released dlc location. also contracts when it comes out of testing

Mostly singleplayer for me. Have also played the multiplayer mod too and joined in a convoy once.

Just single player, 8 hours so far and mostly auto parking also with controller. :\
