Google results didn't yield any useful compatibility info as this is a very "hidden gem" so to speak. I was hoping to get some info before installing. I have the CD version. I have also downloaded the US patch and the 2.0 UK patch. Since this game is only available on cd and not on Steam or GOG,.. (plus it's rough around the edges and buggy... but still fun and charming to me) .. not many people are still messing with it.

Due to some other games not being compatible with Windows 10 yet, I haven't upgraded just yet, so I'm not sure about how it'll work there, sorry. If it helps any, I'm playing it on Windows 8.1, it works fine. I installed the latest U.S. patch, and what I think is the 2.0 Euro patch. I'm also using the no-CD exe, for the sake of convenience.

From what I recall, Boiling Point: Road to Hell uses Securom, so the no-cd may be more important than just for convenience's sake.
Try to do the following: Copy every install archive from the CD to your HD and set the installer.exe in compatibility mode (try XP first, them 7). I was having some problems with a game, then when I put the installer in compatibility mode it worked flawlessly.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust uses Securom and works fine on my Windows 10 (without using cracks). I've been wondering what's the big deal with Securom on Windows 10. I heard Microsoft dropped support for it, but support as in help support and what not?

If the secdrv.sys is not signed, Windows will refuse to load it. Since it wasn't ever signed so far, any game that requires the secdrv.sys will fail to find said driver. Add to it that Windows 10 also removed that driver from the system, so it will have to be added when installing.

No idea about Box Office Bust though, or why it works.

Perhaps the game doesn't check for the secdrv.sys? But I don't think that's the case, I feel it's a vital securom component and thus cannot be ignored. I can't really tell what's going on. I know Box Office Bust uses Securom since the "Insert CD" pop-up says it outright in one of the links, 'securom'.

As a follow-up, I'm on Windows 10 now and the game does work for me. It's the same case where I have the U.S. retail version, the U.S. 1.1 patch, and a no-CD patch.
Just for laughs a friend of mine bought me Boiling Point through Atari. He knows I have a thing for 'east European' games. But the trick is that I run Windows 10, so it won't recognise my OS. Any advice how I can fool it to work on my computer?

EDIT: Ok I got Boiling Point : Road to Hell to work on Windows 10. But through (for me) unorthodox means. Since I have a legal copy of the game I believe I have a moral right to get to play the game in whatever means it take to do so. I'll leave it to that. If anyone whats to know how to to play Boiling Point : Road to Hell on Win 10 then please feel free to PM me. And if you are google searching for and happens to land upon this thread, but don't have a gog.com account to PM me through? Well get a gog.com account. If you like awesome games you should already have a account. here

I know this is an old post, but I got my copy to work with ease. I just ran the setup off of the install disc; the autorun seems to glitch out in 10.

I'm unsure if there was a CD version of the disc, but mine is the most recent version, on DVD. It will ask to install WMP 9 and some codecs that won't run in 10, but it's okay if these get missed, the game will run fine.

Cool. My friend gave me a downloadable setup from Atari, so no real physical DVD disc. But I'm sure this works as well.
