Yeah, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is ok. If you don't mind lots of teenage angst.

Suisei no gargantia is a better anime, imho. Attack on titan gets pretty bad around episode 9 and later.

Danganronpa is pretty interesting so far in a messed up way. Also watching Genshiken Nidaime (second season), although slightly awkward as it seems more girl focused this time but still nice to watch. Also liking Watamote a lot. Besides that I only watched Stella Jogakuin Koutouka C3-Bu which I think I may come to like a lot but it needs to be a bit deeper into the series.

For continuing series I still religiously follow One Piece and the new Hunter x Hunter. I absolutely love both these series <3

Edit: How I was the first to mention Hunter x Hunter baffles and saddens me to be honest >.>

I think the new Monogatari series is pretty good. I like the character interactions and how the tone and style of the show is very abstract.

Maybe I am a bit soppy but I find some of the interactions quite sweet. The dialogue is mostly just blather and small talk but I find it quite a relaxing show to watch. In addition I really like the strange supernatural occurrences that pop up in the show, as in the "Abberations".

I like the idea of "contemporary fantasy" or "urban fantasy" in fiction, as in magic/supernatural stuff co-existing behind the surface of society, but in the West this kinda fiction always ends up with terrible Twilight-like rubbish.

Not sure if this is relevant or been said before, I remember some oldish manga/anime like Battleangel Alita, Appleseed, Fist of the north star, Cyber city oedo 808, Patlabor, Vampire hunter D, etc...

by the way, I can't remember the name of one anime... It was similar in concept to Battle Angel Alita, it was about a woman who got robotized and turned into a flying weapon, if I remember correctly her body was mostly metal, with metal wings and weapons attached to her body.

Anime was around 6 episodes and had a live action as well. Can't remember the name at all...

edit: hmm, it's probably Saikano, but I'm not sure.

Saikano aka Saishū Heiki Kanojo, 13 episodes + 2 OVAs + live action. ;)
