neurasthenya: For you people with more knowledge:

I've saw a trailer once, it had to do with a small boy (kinda like early Dragon Ball Goku) with demonic powers, and it was really bloody and savage IIRC... Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I can't find it anymore.
Asura? The voicing of the main character(who is a feral cannibal child) is done by the same actress as Goku, but he has no demonic powers.

Goku's voice actor is a woman?
That explains why the japanese version of him sounds that way. xD

Most young boys in cartoons, not just Japanese ones, are voiced by females. Bart Simpson is also voiced by a female.

Yeah, I was referring to adult Goku though.

The same actress does both child and adult Goku :

HOLY SHITE! YOU FOUND IT! :D
THANK YOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

So I was wrong about the demonic bit (see? Memories are unreliable) and it's a film, great thing since I can't watch long animes/series.

Can't thank you enough Licurg! And you too omega64 for the willingness to help! ^-^

Asura is a great movie, my second favorite after Ninja Scroll. So go watch it right now.

mrcrispy83: you're supposed to recommend the other -gataris in this case.

you know, bakemonogatari, nisemonogatari, oremonogatari, minamotomonogatari, tsfmonogatari

(that's a joke if you can't tell)

(though if you enjoyed katanagatari you might as well give the monogatari series a shot since nisioisin's stuff is pretty similar)
Is there a specific order to the -gatari shows? I kinda want to watch them, but don't know which one to start with.

well, all the series jump around in the timeline anyway since it's more about theme than chronological order (like kizu and neko black take place before bake, but were written after and closer thematically to second season so they're placed afterwards) and grouped loosely into "seasons" (with arcs revolving each character making up the first season, then each arc gets plot/thematic sequels later on in the second season and so on), but just watch them in the order they were made and you should be fine. the only exception is with Kizu, which the movie of which has been massively delayed to the point of infamy (though the first one is going to come out this year IIRC) but basically it goes something like this:

First season:
Bake* -> Kizu**-> Nise -> Neko Black

Second season:
Second Season -> hana -> tsuki

Final season
owari -> koyomi (currently being released; this is short stories though IIRC) -> rest of final season

*make sure that you watch episodes 13-15, as they were not included in the tv airing
**as already said, the movie got delayed so long so it's just now coming out. but it's a prequel so it's not too big a deal. the novel also got licensed, and was released recently so you could get it that way
I'm gonna have to recommend Dirty Pair (the old stuff, not Dirty Pair Flash the trashy 90s reboot). In particular be sure to watch the Project Eden film.

Also Princess Mononoke, which is one of my favorite films ever.

And finally,

Mawaru Penguindrum, Tragically overlooked by most anime communities this is the best anime I've ever seen (but not my favorite as it's hard to love a crushing tragedy story). Do not be fooled by it's colorful and bright appearance or the fact that it initially seems like a comedy. This series is the encyclopedia definition of mood dissonance. Every episode up-heaves what happened in the last and every episode ends on an epic cliff hanger. The style and angle use are top notch, the music is amazing, and the entire thing is a bizarre colorful train wreck in slow motion.

Seriously everyone should watch this. You are cheating yourself if you don't.
After finishing Mokke which i liked very much i started watching Mushishi - Season 1.
