This one doesn't violate the GDPR. The previous version would collect info for bug reporting and fell foul of the GDPR (according to Google). Google wouldn't let the devs update the old version so they had to upload it as a brand new game.

Google Play has been somewhat overzealous with their GDPR enforcement. Stuff they remove because of it isn't just removed from the store, it is removed from user libraries and purchase history. For example, if an app gathers data for bug reports, you can't just have a link in the app to a site explaining the data collection policy - you need to have the entire policy in the app itself. Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale were removed because of that, it took a long time for them to return. Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall removed for similar reasons are permanently gone.

Actually after some time I started to somewhat appreciate these controls, especially because jumping/shooting button is the most important and this way is easily accessible.
