On the Russian Tupolev airplane tragedy, all members of the Alexandrov Ensemble: Red Army's Choir were annihilated, save only three people. The famous worldwide-ly musicians, who even sang at Eurovision, whose songs even anti-communists, anti-leftists and anti-USSR hear and like, to this day...

RIP

You convinced me. 2016 is a terrible year, after all...

I read the article. It's absolutely terrible, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all who perished. RIP.

Fucking retard. The Alexadrov musicians were not Communists, "leftists", or pro-USSR.

Can Fables please "annihilate" this twat?

1) I liked them and loved their music.
2) Never said they were communists. Some of the songs they sing had been once, though, like Katyusha, Korobeiniki, the anthem of USSR and others. And as i said, i liked them.
3) I mourn their loss.
4) You don't know english much, other than insults? Go learn some grammar and vocabulary, son, plus history.

Don't sully their memory. This thread was meant to pay tribute to them. Crawl back to your local communist youth, crimson fossil of a serpent! Are you seeing everything in red and enemies everywhere? If yes, one (or more) good doc(s) can help you!

R.I.P. Legends (the Choir, not any other entity, damn i have to spell everything out and in detail myself, but better this way, so as no new fool pops up from nowhere or something)

Official sources are that the airplane Tupolev was 30 years old. In my books, the terrorist is the company who allowed that ancient artifact to operate in our day and age. The military Choir was heading to Syria, to sing and play music for Russian soldiers kept there.

this reminds me of a movie i saw once with a musician a guy who turned superstar overnight then he dies in plane crash too. he was scared of flying and didn't want to board plane but he had no choice so he dies..

La Bamba? The movie was dramatized, but the story is technically real, based on the life of Richie Valens.

yes i remember the main guy had a cold and he had to choose between a bus or plane. he chose plane and died. it's like my grandma used to say - whatever you fear, that's exactly what might happen to you. i guess fears are bad

The Day The Music Died

Buddy Holly
Richie Valens
The Big Bopper

There have been movies made about the first two and a really famous song about all three.

Making things even more interesting, the bass player who took the bus was Waylon Jennings...

Supposedly Richie Valens teased him about the bus saying he hoped it broke down with Jennings replying he hoped his plane crashed. He's stated in interviews how he thought he had caused it.

Shhh. I didn't want this thread to be derailed to death by the usual "people", or even worse, become the first specimen of censorship on GOG (which is going to come soon). I wanted this thread a) to be a serious one and b) To remain as is for some time.

Yes, there was NATO presence and easily perceivable as provocative NATO operations in the Black Sea relatively recently, but my intention was to mourn the loss of some excellent and very talented people and pay tribute to them. Not search for the usual criminals who lead entire countries slowly (and other ones not so slowly) to their demise... Let's hope the upcoming, Russian Friendly players will do a better job on any level.
