Primo_Victoria: And what is triggered?
HiPhish: Originally? People who had traumatic events in their lives, like seeing your whole family blown to shreds by a grenade, can develop a disorder called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). When they are reminded of the event in an unexpected way, for example by fireworks crackers, they can have a flashback. This is called triggering.
In modern days spoiled self-entitled brats (who call themselves social justice warriors, or SJWs in short) have turned it into some sort of game. They will claim they got PTSD from twitter and claim to get triggered by anything that makes them uncomfortable. As if feeling a little uncomfortable is the same as getting a panic attack.
Idiots have been putting trigger warnings or pretty much everything. Like you are not allowed to say "violate" as in "this violates the law" in a law class because it might hurt someone's feelings.
Here is a YouTube video I found, there is more if you type in "trigger warning". Trigger Warning: boobs
