I've been trying to get some games running on android through dosbox and one of my biggest sticking points is that I have to download and install the game on a win/osx/linux box first in order to copy the correct files.
It would be much easier if I could download a zip file (or similar) which would work with dosbox directly on my device.

Are there any plans to support generic dosbox users in this way?

Yes, it going to happen. See the numerous other posts on wanting DOSbox versus Scummvm, original files, various different versions, ability to download a specific version etc. The store is here to sell games which work on the latest systems specified, not to provide various types of archival. And yes, I agree it would be very helpful to at least be able to download all released versions (store releases), but it’s not going to happen.
