drealmer7: Yep, so, hopefully that makes some sense to you. My goal is to eventually have thoroughly gone through and order them in my projected "order to play+finish by genre by tag order but subject to change on my whims."
I currently have ~50 games tagged as PLAYING.
Wow! This explained my question and several other I've never asked ;) Thank you for this. As far as "too many games to play in a lifetime" and "too many movies to watch in a lifetime" goes I can really relate. The same goes with "some games to play when you have more times and some games to play when you have less time" I handle it the same and therefore are constantly switching my active game. I try to stay true to only one or two but my curiosity mostly gets the better of me. I do understand your tag order even though I think that such an order would not work for me because I would probably not follow it. I currently have ~50 games tagged as PLAYING.
"Oh, a new game? Great - let's play it."
"Hmmm. I have long wanted to play the game ...."
"Wasn't there some game I always tried to finish?"
And so on. basically it's pretty chaotic so my tags are much simpler mostly being "completed" or "not completed" but since there are games which basically don't have an ending I have tagged them "unending" then there are game which I have "never installed" once and I like to give "adventures" and "action adventures" a special tags since most of them are not that long therefore don't require that much time to finish. So apart of the tags (which I only use as a filer and not as a sort option) I have ordered my games only chronolgical. Hmmmm ... I was wondering if there could be already a thread about how people do sort and play their games...there probably is.
Sorry, adaliabooks for once again derailing your thread (the last time being the quite interesting language lesson with mrkgnao). :)
