Hi all, I emailed support but wanted to see if anyone had any other potential solutions. In making this account (the one I'm posting with now) I confirmed that my original username on my original account is still valid (resevil239), however for the last few days every time I log in I get a "User not found" message. To make matters worse, when support replied to my ticket they said they could not find my email at all...I know I never used a different email and never changed it.

Is there anyway to login with your username instead? Anyone have any other solutions?

You can't use a user name to log in without password.

Is it possible your account could have gotten stolen/hijacked? Have you checked your email inbox for a message from GOG informing you that your registered email address & password have been changed?

I have and I have not seen any such email.
How old is the other account anyway?

Not sure what you mean by "never keep receipts" since you don't get a physical piece of paper that you could throw away.

And when you originally signed up - there were confirmation emails (just as there should have been with this new account you are using now).

You have none of those? Didn't tuck them into a GOG folder in your email system? Deleted them all or what?

lol, not keeping the receipts is not keeping receipts. Doesn't matter if its a physical one or not. So yes I deleted them. I hate keeping a ton of emails and since I pretty much never need one I never bother to save them in another folder. Given this issue, I may start saving them in the future.

That said, they restored my account so thank you all for your help.

and no I have no clue what happened. Only thing I can think of is maybe someone got access to my account and changed my info. My bday was wrong when I checked my info and I never give a fake date or anything, so unless it was just a default date (does gog do that? I dont' remember putting a date when I made my other account) that seems most likely. I made a more secure password regardless.

There have been some account thefts lately, so maybe that was the reason.
Anyway, always keep the damn receipts! :P

Check through your email's trash or emliminated sort, you can always find them there if someone went a mile to get them erased, however you can erase those too, but look to be sure, besides, you can ask for support in hotmail or gmail if there was briefing in entering your current session in your email and there being changes, so try that too if you can, to make sure.

Contact Support. They've been dealing with this sort of thing a lot in recent months.

When you buy a game, GoG send the receipt of the game to your e-mail. You may want to attach that as proof you are using the account.
