Hello there!

I was wondering if there's a way to see just how much money you spent on GOG games. I know that you can check the emails, but those start to get hard to keep track of eventually. Is there a more convenient way to see this somewhere?

You could ask GOG for a dump of all your data according to GDPR. You'll get a JSON-file which should contain your order somewhere. With a bit of programming (in really any language) it should be possible to extract the totals.

But yeah, would be nice if the orders page offered something like a CSV export.

I never would have thought ot that. Certainly an option, though, but I think I'd be better off filtering for all GOG emails that contain billing terms, and go through them. At least for me, this is more manageable.
Thank you though, as it certainly is a way to do it. If nothing else, I may even make a request for this.

Lol, that is basically what I was looking for, thanks! Never would have thought checking there. Certainly easier than lookin through all the emails. All it lacks is a summary of all the prices, but that's would be easy to add.

Pages and pages of orders... that's why I didn't mention it...

You only have 18 games according to your profile, that doesn’t seem to be hard to track? Just keep each order in a text file or something?

Just add the header summary of each receipt and subtract by any applicable refunds you've made. Should be quite manageable unless you've returned 100 different games on each receipt.

For what? Are GOG game purchases eligible for tax allowance in Hungary?

Sweet, if so!

Still a much better option than searching and opening e-mails one by one. Or waiting for GOG support to respond.

True.

I think GDPR sets rather strict deadlines for answering inquiries like that. So I guess response wouldn't take to long. Too lazy and tired to look it up though. :-)

This saves you the trouble of adding it up. Lets me know I've spent way too much on games.

A quick google-around says that the response timelimit is as long as 1 month, which sounds pretty dire if true.
I can answer that question for myself already... way way to much.

Awesome. Didn't try it, don't want to know, really :-)

One month is okay for me... I know someone did that a while ago, and the response was only a few days. That was way before the current support overload though.

I simply like to keep track of my expenses in a detailed fashion. Started buying more games recently than usual.

Anyway - the order history is really good for what I was looking for.
