Hello there.

I've created a refund ticket for Cyberpunk2077 on December 19th, my friend also created a refund ticket on GOG on December 20th.

We both awnsered the e-mail within a day since creating our tickets .

My friend, who had made his refund ticket a day later than me has arleady recived his money back on January 13th. Almost 5 days ago.

I still didn't get my refund on the same platform even tho I asked for a refund before him.

Are the refund tickets picked by random by the staff? Did anyone else run into something similiar to this? To me it's outrageous and I don't know what I can do with this situation. How much longer should I wait when people that have made a ticket after me are getting the money back and I still didn't hear anything back from CDPR.

EDIT:

Soo after waiting for 10 minutes for a reply to post I will just edit the original one.

I feel like DMing staff is annoying af and should not even be an option. But on the other hand I feel singled out for no apparent reason. Why should I wait at least a week more than people who asked for a refund after I did? It seems unfair.

I feel like I've been scammed out of items in Minecraft but it's real money and a reputable company that I trusted for years. They should do the tickets by the submition date and I want to know why it's being cherry picked which tickets get done and which are being left behind.

I am guessing they are overwhelmed with refund requests for Cyberpunk 2077.

I tried to refund a gane that i bought on Black Friday sale, because it was cheaper on Winter Sale and i wanted to rebuy it for a lower price. Still hasn't been answered, despite the fact that the Winter sale has been over for 14 days.

My suggestion: keep hoping they will eventually answer it, but don't be overly confident in that. Be prepared to take the loss and move on.

Keep in mind. Try not to buy anything for the next few months, until the Cyberpunk 2077 debacle settles down. Until then, you are on a losing position if you want to refund anything.
If you want good and fast support (at least fast refunds), I‘d advise you to use Steam the next time. GOGs support is non existant. Sadly.

You serious, Clark? The fuck kind of advice is that? "They'll drag their feet, so be prepared to lose your money"

Piss off with that noise.

Try to direct-message one of the staff members, if you really cannot wait any longer.

That's currently the only way to get a refund in a more timely manner, I'm afraid.
You either bite the bullet and direct-message @ponczo_, or keep on waiting for that refund confirmation via e-mail.
My suggestion? Spam your tickets until someone who is not a bot responds. I know they are busy because of CP2077, but almost a month to get a refund is ridiculous.

So I've tried to DM both of them.

When I open the DM window there is an error stating that: "Can't open conversation becouse of privacy restrictions".

So crying on a forum that I've never used and hoping that a Moderator will find this is my only way to find out why I have to wait more than other people for a refund?

You need to change your privacy settings.

Account > Privacy and Settings > Privacy > set allow chat messages to "everyone"

This is terrible advice and will only serve to clog the system more and cause yourself further delays.

This. Because GOG web devs can't figure out how to isolate different settings for sending/ receiving messages.

Thanks boys,

I DM'ed ponczo_ and will share the result of that when he replies.

Makes me feel awfull but I really feel stuck in this mess
Is this actually first publicly known refund being paid back to a GOG user after GOG got swamped by support tickets since Cyperpunk 2077 release? :D

Congrats to your friend for getting their refund. I hope the rest of us get them soon too.

The problem is already solved.

Please keep in mind that we are still very overwhelmed, but let me assure you that we are slowly getting back on track :) As always, please remember that we do care and we are doing what we can to help as fast as possible and our team recently got bigger.

PS: Swamping us with tickets about a single case won't help unfortunately. In fact, it can even make it longer to resolve.

Since the situation is clarified, I will close this thread to avoid making false assumptions.
