Can someone provide a list of the most common GOG / GOG Galaxy files that end up being placed in GOG Game install folders? I am talking about all the bloatware, like unnecessary GOG Game Launch Shortcut, DXGI.dll, D3D11.dll, GOGGalaxyHooks.dll , GOGLog.ini, etc.

None of them are necessary when GOG Galaxy is not installed and yet GOG keeps bloating game folders with worthless files.

Is there a list of all common GOG / GOG Galaxy files???
According to my two installed copies of Duke Nukem Manhattan Project (will run the other installation through Galaxy to see the differences) and comparing them with each other and Teenagent (for some reason), you're looking at...

Files in a regular GOG installation:
---
GameuxInstallHelper.dll
gfw_high.ico
gog.ico
goggame.dll
Game shortcut
unins000.dat
unins000.exe
unins000.ini
unins000.msg
support.ico

Files exclusive to a Galaxy-imported installation:
---
goggame-[game_number_here].dll
goggame-[game_number_here].ico
goggame-[game_number_here].info
goggame-galaxyFileList.ini
goglog.ini
webcache.zip
unins001.dat
unins001.exe
unins001.msg

Of course I would suggest not doing anything with those files. I could test one of the games I have with the Steam version of them, but I'm not really interested in doing that. So have that. Still, don't play with the files unless you know what you're doing.

Indeed. Those aren't necessarily "bloatware", in some cases, the added GOG files contain the fixes GOG produced that make the games work in the first place.

Fairfox: Semi-frequently:
steam_api.dll
SteamworksNative.dll

Grrr. No idea if removing those 'does' anything.
Oh yes. Beatbuddy has SteamworksNative.dll (as well as two instances of SteamworksManaged.dll), and The Witcher 2 (of all games?) has steam_api.dll. Both are hidden really well, as I had to search for .dll files with the search string 'steam' inside my GOG folder, and they happened to be within those two currently installed games.

Deleting steam_api.dll off The Witcher 2 doesn't affect the game, well at least for my experience of launching the game to the main menu and quitting back to desktop. No idea about Beatbuddy though.
