Fallout
Carmageddon
Space Quest
Total War
Men of War

I'd still mention Elder Scrolls, though.

Edit : I've conveniently left aside games that just had one sequel (such as Portal 1&2, NOLF 1&2 or Death to Spies 1&2) but hey, forgot about Homeworld - three games with the standalone Cataclysm. If it's a series it's the best series.

1. The Witcher.
2. Resident Evil.
3. Dark Souls.
4. Mass Effect (Not Andromeda)

And does Mario count as a series, by that I mean, should it be a series that includes all the originals like JumpMan and the spinoffs like Mario Kart?

At least the other games are on steam except Silent Hill. I really miss playing Silent Hill 2 and 3. I don't get it why Konami wouldn't remaster Silent Hill games for PC, PS4 AND XBOX One, they would make so much money and we would be happy too.

Yes you can count Mario as a series.

Gothic especially first 2 games.
Elder Scrolls Daggerfall and Morrowind
Fallout 1,2 and New Vegas.
Witcher because i honestly like all 3 games.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro because i love the atmosphere in those games.

Planescape Torment and Arcanum are unfortunately not series so they don't count.

And therein lies the challenge, separating personal taste from the big picture. :D
I hate pretty much every Mario game ever, but to leave them out of this list would be ridiculous. Look how long they've been around, how successful they are.

You're right Mario is one of the oldest running franchises and still going strong. So any Mario games you like?

Nice list. Can't wait to play Metro Exodus and you're right, the atmosphere in those games are just amazing.
