We’re pleased to introduce 3 incredibly unique titles, straight from the Polish Instytut Pamięci Narodowej, to the GOG catalog. Check them out!

WARSAW RISING: City of Heroes
You take on the role of a commander leading a unit participating in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. You start on the first day with a group of three insurgents whose first task is to get their weapons and get to the base camp safely. You participate in a tragic yet heroic chapter of the capital's history. Your job is to survive as long as possible. There is only one way to do this: by fighting with a weapon in hand.

Szybowcowa '87
It transports players back to the 1980s, right into a secret printing house of Fighting Solidarity located in an apartment on Szybowcowa Street in Wrocław's Gądów district. This VR experience allows you to explore the place where the members of the Fighting Solidarity movement produced illegal press materials in their struggle against the communist regime. With authentic resources digitized from original documents, players can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the resistance movement, and actively participate in the events that transpired during this tumultuous period.

Testimony of HELP
It’s an evocative short film in virtual reality (VR) that tells the story of the courageous actions of the Ulma family from Markowa, who selflessly aided Jews during World War II. The project immerses viewers in the atmosphere of the Podkarpackie region in the 1940s, meticulously recreated using archival photographs taken by Józef Ulma. Through the detailed portrayal of this historical context, users embark on an emotional virtual journey through time.

Now on GOG!

Nice to see this return to GOG. I wonder how it compares to the original, since I now have two entries in my library. The new one seems... larger.

This game requires a VR headset in order to play and is available in Polish language only.

Well, that should limit the target audience immensely.
wasn't the warsaw game here already? too bad I don't have VR headset though. They should make a non-vr version too, like Paper Beast Folded Edition
Nice, games for the boutique bourgeois, I was wondering when GOG would start catering to the accessory market.
Hmm, it shows "Free" do I see it right? All 3 of these? O.o

You could not make a game less appealing if it came with complimentary plague rats. Free or not, I'll pass.
3 free games? Why, thank you, GOG! :)

Yes, it was, but that one was simply called Warsaw. And for some reason is no longer available for purchase.
They look very similar though, both in art style and gameplay.

Since i only have one eye , i only redeemed the WARSAW game . Thank you .
Speaking of uprisings and curiousness, while recently browsing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-34 for unrelated matter, I was astonished by the story of:
"""
In Budapest on 23 October 2006, the 2006 protests in Hungary climaxed during the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Protesters managed to start an unarmed T-34 tank which was part of a memorial exhibit, and used it in riots against police forces. The tank drove a few hundred metres, then stopped in front of the police, causing no personal injury.
"""

Also, much curious about the success rate of the uprisings of any type during human history. (would expect <~ 10%, because manned by desperate people)

Regarding Bulgarian History, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svoboda_ili_smart slogan of the uprisings started ~150 years ago, sums it all: "Liberty Or Death".

Specifically: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Uprising_of_1876

Care to give context (assuming it's not too political)?

Unfortunately it almost certainly is. Let's just say that despite being a state insti_tution it has long since became aligned with certain political circles, to the point where it's current director is right now running for president as a candidate of one of the two major parties. That may not be enough context, but I'm afraid I may already be pushing it, and I don't want to get that permaban :D (but given the topic of the thread I think at least this much leeway can be hoped for).

To be clear, I am not calling for the games to removed or boycotted or anything like that. It's just me, personally, saying "thanks, but no thanks".
