gamesfreak64: eschalon book 1

€4.79 ---> €2.39

no mail yet but thats because the site is busy i guess
normally i have a mail few seconds after purchase

book2 and 3, i hope they get a bit cheaper aswell :D
avatar
Splatsch: They must be busy sending us all the gift keys of Witcher 2 and The Gamers :)

Don't know the Eschalon serie : can you tell me a little about it ? Seems interesting.
well if you know the avernum from spiderwebs games, to me they look kinda same, avernum might have a better system but they do look very similar,.
I like to fight with bugs that are 2x or more the size of the player,a ccording to some screenshots i saw the player
on a screenshot fighting with bugs bigger then the main character, and given the lower price it was a nice offer.
So basically every game has a price at which i will buy them and try them, (3d FPP is however a nono to me)
Some games are worth the full price like jagged alliance, fallout, c&c, redalert (no 3d versions)
I bought those at the default price cause i also bought them once they came out on cd/dvd in the past,
and some games will be okay if the price is much lower, every game has his value.

I played many games in the past 35 years, have seen a lot, most of the games look like the same, but in a different way.

Basically there's a number of game types(systems) (tetris, chess/checkers/match 3,etc etc )
and everything else is based upon that system.

Its just made differnt by adding differnt graphics, there are many topics on the internet explaing the very basics
of how the games have evolved from some very basic game types, its quite interesting to read.

Stix or sticks, draw lines and conquer the 'land' on c64 amiga and pc they seem to sell well in the old days
now these games have a new look:
fortix and fortix 2 (nice games)
bases on the good old styx/sticks/stix (these names differ but basically its all the same)
Plus loads of the good old tower defense, i have a few of them (no 3d)
I like 2d, its clean and clear.

well my 1st paysafe problem has arised, i checked the card and it has enough ,
so i bought space colony hd for 1.99

this time i got a large message stating something went wrong.

So i send a request to support i hope the mail server will work cause now i cant make other buys with that card, cause i dont want it to have 2x the 1.99 withdrawn

i hope i get response very soon....

it seems the money that was reserved has expired and the total of the card is at its normal amount, so i guess i got the money back on the card.
havent received any notice so far in the mail, but maybe thats not needed, i dont know, never got any problem anywhere so i dont know what the procedures are.
I guess all is okay

I do not want to complain, but here is how things changed lately...

In the past you went to a shop and bought a game from the shelf.

Then you were eager waiting for a game to be released, so you can buy it. With a few lucky guys who were invited into Alpha/Beta
With Neverwinter this all changed, suddenly people could buy themselves into Beta and finance the game before it was released. People are willing to pay more for an unfinished product as what they would pay once it is finally released.
Kickstarter games give players a hope to finance a game with a little SWAG on the side.

Now GOG does lots of pre-order titles as well.

I don't want to blame the business model here. I just want to mention how things changed over the last few years.

I am not buying finished products any more, but invest in development of products I like. This takes the risk of many probably unique but failed titles.

//edit: How does that "Money-back guarantee It works, we guarantee it" even work on 6+ months pre-orders?

Ooooh, another two interesting bundles! Bought the Wadjet Eye bundle, already had Primordia and Gemini Rue, leaving Resonance and The Shivah for just 2.38 Euros, talk about a total steal! :-) And one day, I'm gonna buy the Wing Commander bundle, when I actually have the time to play all of these games! :-)

And yay, final stamp collected, thank you Gog for the free movie and gift code for Witcher 2. Already have the game, so gonna look now for someone to gift this to before the code expires! :-)

same here :D
wel actually i have little, but thats because the majority are 3d FPP games, or otherwise games turning and bumping 360 degrees, somehow i cant play them without getting 'seasick', thats why i am not in 3d, thats why its sad the new rocketranger is 3d, lucky i have the old one , bought it the minute i saw it.

zeffyr: Hm, no new stamps bracket? Hm.
strange isnt it?, there are tons of 3d FPP games on GOG left that would be nice to 'stamp' :D

I should really find some time to finally play them, heard so many good things about them already! Also got the Blackwell bundle during that mutator sale, so got those on the backlog as well. If only time was on sale, I would stock up on that big time! ;-)

time:D i want loads of it/them .... i am in desperate need of time,
borrowed time is not or never good.... cause we all living on borrowed time in some way...

good links to time and where to 'buy' it will be cool :D

btw is time plural (meervoudig in dutch/belgium) or is it singualr (enkelvoudig in dutch/belgium)
No new stamps or flash deals, it seems.
Well, I'll just check if some new pack appear then.

gamesfreak64: btw is time plural (meervoudig in dutch/belgium) or is it singualr (enkelvoudig in dutch/belgium)
Time as such is uncountable and doesn't really have an article. Depending on context it can also refer to a certain point in time like in: "This is the time to act," in which case it is singular. But you also have the plural like in: "The times are changing."

It's similar to water. Uncountable: "Water is an important commodity." Singular: "The water in the tub is hot." Plural: "The waters of the North Sea are cold."

It all depends on the context.
Just bought the Hitman Classics bundle. Thanks GOG.com :3
