Just about 30,000 Wishes Added
Around 3,980,000 Votes Cast
And over 1,000,000 Votes Fulfilled

The Community Wishlist is one of the things that makes GOG.com tick, because no matter what, we're always working hard to listen and deliver. Whether it's games, website features, or GOG Galaxy development - the Community Wishlist is always the first place we look, and it's proven time and time again to be our favorite bargaining chip on the quest for new games and a better GOG.com. With just a tad over one million wishlist votes fulfilled, we want to take this opportunity to look at just a few of the wishes we got to take on.

Out of all the games in the world, several stand out as most highly requested. System Shock 2 at 36,000 votes was one of our first major conquests - this is the game that really paved way for the most fantastic retro releases and, back when we needed it most, showed how much demand and excitement there can still be for the classics. Who knows, perhaps there is more legendary horror lurking right around the corner, hackers.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind at 25,000 votes just joined our gang alongside the earlier Elder Scrolls titles and more Bethesda goodness - but that's not all the wishlisted games, not by a long shot. With your help we checked off the X-Wing and TIE Fighter series, DOOM & Quake, Sam & Max Hit The Road and way, way more.

Bit by bit, we're improving GOG.com - adding new features, and changing things up. Across the years we've added and [url=https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/add_linux_versions_of_games]Linux support (and then changed the Linux icon) to your games, introduced little things like update notifications, [url=https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/change_log_in_game_library] change-logs, and the ability to mark your games as completed (and many other tags). The community wishlist was also one of the many reasons we began working on GOG Galaxy.

There's still a lot of work ahead of us, and there are a ton of things in progress: we're still hunting for more, and more, and more classics, we're working on making GOG Galaxy the best gaming client you've ever used, and we're still actively seeking a specialist who can hook us up with some more time (a few hours per day would be nice) to do all that. All of this, while we continue to be a DRM-free store today, tomorrow, and forever!

The community wishlist is a great way for you to keep us aware of your needs, and it's an equally powerful tool for us to react, and to prioritise the future. So if there's a game you've always wanted, a great idea for the site, or something that's been bugging you for ages - don't hesitate, make a wish or cast your vote. It might just become our next big project.
Off topic, but whatevs...

MightyPinecone: If gog sells games in China I very much suspect they would have to cut quite a few games from their lineup as the Chinese censorship is amongst the worlds harshest.
What hogwash! Ever been to China for any extended period of time, MightyPinecone? As long as you don't question the authority of the ruling elite, they'll turn a blind eye.

In Beijing, you can walk into a supermarket and buy hardcore pornography (thinly veiled as art house films) and NOBODY CARES! Sure, they have all sorts of silly rules and regulations as far as media is concerned, but nobody cares about actually enforcing those laws!

Besides, Steam officially sells games in China (ie features Chinese language/currency) and I'm not seeing them having to lock anything. Neither do I have trouble buying anything from gog. Only when I get back to oh-so-free-and-democratic Germany do I have to get adversely affected by inane censorship legislation.
Well I have to say congratulations to GOG as well as thanks for this feat, and "may there be many more such successes in the future" as well. I've technically been a member since 2009 but I didn't really become a true customer and follower until 2012. It's only been not quite 3 years now since I first used my credit card here and in that time GOG has seen explosive growth right across the board. The catalogue has risen from around 300 games to close to 1300 games, lots of publishers have joined and we've seen an endless supply of old classics return to life here, as well as big name publishers bringing some titles here and ever increasing signs of more good things to come.

Some of the biggest impact things to occur for me personally were the Lucasarts Star Wars games coming here, and the announcement of GOG Galaxy as well. There were many many other exciting games and moments here on GOG and in the forums and many really awesome sales promos that were fun to participate in both purchase as well as the community interactions.

Keep up the great work GOG, you've got a great thing going on.
You know what would be amazing?

The most important for me are:

Continue to be a DRM-free store today, tomorrow, and forever and continue to add more classics.

So keep up the good work, and we will be on your side.

Gog definitely has improved its catalog over last year and gotten a lot of new publishers on board and some really cool games (Tie Fighter, Paradox Enterntainment games, Star War: Empire at War, Act of War). I do hope the trend continues and you increase your catalog in following year up to 2000-3000 games (more RTS, Empire building, Grand Strategy, Simulation games please). Im still, though, waiting for the big bang with EA and Blizzard.

Eitherway good work and hope you get even better and release a lot more games (especially oldies) but there are still 89,98% of my gog community wishlist votes to be fullfiled in the future :) I might add that a lot of my community wishes were fullfilied with recent releases. So at the end for me the most important are older games which come in a drm-free version off course.

Congrats to everyone at GOG! We definitely appreciate your massive efforts.
The biggest surprise for me was getting LucasArts/LucasFilm/Disney on board. That made me exceedingly happy!
Keep up the great work for us Good-Old-Gamers and DRM-free fans. Thanks.
Wow, that's huge and yet another reason why GOG is so awesome! Great being part of this community, keep up the great work people!

apehater: yeah ... that's great gog ... great for you
Well, actually it's even greater for gamers who want more games DRM-free. You see, I have several games on Steam too, but I have 10 times more on GoG.com....
I would like to be able to set "disable automatic updates" as a default for all games. As well as have a downolad all games and goodies in library option.
GOG remains unique in a lot of ways... I wish I had more time to play all the games I keep buying (and adding to my back log...) Good luck on that one. ;}
congrats GoG! you are my favorite go to site for entertainment, not only for games but for the forum and twitch. Well done!

Please please please Mechwarrior 2 series, let it happen!

Also, Earthsiege 1 and 2 would be amazing additions :)
