My PC has run a stable 4.5 GHz overclock for quite a while now. I started playing Geneforge 1, and I began to get numerous crashes where the computer powered off. Whenever stuff crashes, the cardinal rule of overclocking is to turn off the overclock, so in the meantime, I've turned off the overclocking, and it seems to have remedied the issue.

Just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

Don't remember any crashes in any Spiderweb Software games so most certainly not normal. Some older games do have problems with too powerfull hardware but don't remember any reports of those with SW games either.
