Looking forward to playing this with my pre-teen son in local co-op mode. I have high nostalgic value attached to the original game and it's quarter eating behavior.

From surfing the Steam forums, it seems like a pair of controllers is the way to go.

Any suggestions on physical set up such as ability to use more than one monitor that any one with experience can provide? Or is an HDMI to a large screen TV the best option?

Can't vouch for a LAN option, but couch co-op on the TV is pretty fun time for this title. I have it on Steam, going to pick it up here as well.

Gog just released a patch for the game that should fix multiplayer problems(1.0b).
Please launch GOG Galaxy, select the game, press more - > manage installation - > verify/repair.
