I haven't had the game very long and I absolutely love it, but I now appear to have a possible game-breaking issue...

I've completed the base game and have just a few upgrades left on Car Junkyard DLC and Airstrip DLC, the Tidal Wave DLC is where the problem has shown itself, just last night.

I'm up to Challenge 6, with just 3 things left, Wind Surfing, Scuba Diving and Shower customers, but the customers are not using ANY of them now. The volcano blew its top and since then, customers have stayed away from those 3 and the toilets. Everything else is functioning normally.

I'm hoping this is not an issue where I have to restart Tidal Wave, currently sitting-on $28k+ (with passive income from Route 66), so REALLY don't want to have to start-over.

Do any of you know ANY way to correct this please? It's been 3 in-game days so far, with no signs of improvement. Tried closing/reopening EVERYTHING, to no avail. If I do have to start-over, could it happen again at the same point? *ponders*

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :-).

Update:

Uninstalled & reinstalled the Tidal Wave DLC, same outcome. Uninstalled & reinstalled the entire game & all DLC packs, made no difference.

It appears that the DLC is faulty, which has translated to a broken savegame. My last resort is to start fresh in Tidal Wave and if the Challenge cannot be completed again, then it may not be a game-breaking bug, but it is a DLC-breaking bug.

That would leave me no option but to request a refund on the DLC.

I will update this post/thread when I know more :-).


Update 2:

So far, so good.

After playing the DLC twice, it now appears to be progressing, currently on Challenge 7.

A few bugs along the way, which now seem to have been corrected. The most apparent one, was a customer stuck in the shower after the volcano blew its top, reset didn't correct it, so for a while, every time I went near the shower, it sounded like a really bad impression of "Psycho" ;-P.

Anyway, back on-track... For now ;-).
