Is the GOG version the same as the steam version?
Version Nr, Manual etc... no difference?

Yes, the the game versions should be the same (AFAIK you can also sign up to get public betas if you want on all the sites). You can buy a printed (hardcover) manual for WitW on the Matrix site (either initially or later as an add on). I don't think that is possible via Steam or GOG. For WitE, only a small portion of the manual is printed, and again, this can only be purchased on the Matrix site. Both games come with E-versions of the manual, and WitW has a full living manual updated with changes to the rules from the patches. WitE has a volunteer that has been working on and posting an updated manual via the Matrix forum.
