Hi,

I loaded gangsters:organized crime onto my surface pro 2 (running window 8.1). It worked fine on my old laptop which was a Lenovo t500 running Windows 7 professional.

On the surface pro 2, the game loads fine and the graphics are perfect.

However, in the strategy planner screens I get stuttering mouse behavior and much worse-- the loading/clock icon keeps appearing and disappearing even though I am not selecting, dragging or clicking anything. (The clock icon usually only appears when the game is loading something.) The clock appears for a second, disappears for 2 or 3 seconds, then reappears for a second and does not stop doing this.

It's completely unplayable.

I tried all compatability settings but to no avail.

Any advice?

I have the same issue, did you happen to find a solution?

Unfortunately, no.
There seem to be some complicated possible fixes on the web but they seemed a bit fishy to me. It' s strange that there is no simple fix for this as it worked perfectly on a Windows 7 system.
Too bad, I have the same on a windows 10 machine. It sort of works, but I don't have the patience and it's not really fun to play this
