After searching the forum and searching I've yet to find this tip anywhere, so.... Here's an exploit I discovered a bit after the game orginally came out.
I discovered that you can repeatedly raid the same store. The gangster walks in, raids the store, walks out. That's when the game processes their next job. Which is: Raid the same store, so they immediatly walk back inside and raid the same store again.
Getting the same (RNG-based) amount of money, again.
A gang member inside a team can do 3-4 raids each working week.
But a lieutenant's workload is calculated different and since the game knows there is zero travel time for doing a job at the same location, a lieutenant with 5+ gangsters in his team will let you schedule roughly 70 raids on one target, each working week.
For a new game, in week 1, by simply emptying out the starting manpower pool, I was able to get $ 322000 by raiding a department store.
Even better: for the land value reduction due to crime, this string of raids counts as only one, so you can raid near your starting office without creating a slum instantly.
Stolen goods loot from raiding auction houses etc, does not duplicate with this exploit.
One thing to remember:
Such extreme illegal income in your first weeks means you instantly max out the suspicion level and the FBI will arrest you. If you get arrested on week 2 or 3 you probably won't manage to bribe your way out of your trial and you may lose the game.
So don't immediatly go for the big prizes like banks. Pick on smaller targets like convience stores while you build up legal income and get a good accountant.
You can basically grow your gang as quickly as the Suspicion mechanic will allow.
Happy raiding
