So I have been playing this game off and on since it came out back in the nineties. Unfortunately, I have been frustrated each time due to crashing issues. When I found out I could download it I was thrilled, but so far I can successfully get through about 70-100 weeks before it crashes once I select "Start the Working Week"

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Here is an update for 9/11/15: It is now crashing at 40 Weeks in.

Her is another update 9/14/15: so I've been testing the auto-saves in addition to my own personal saves. Somehow, after a certain amount of time the files become corrupt and no longer work properly. No explanation as to how this happens. I probably played 50 weeks over the weekend with no problems, and I am now in week 98 but the game keeps freezing and crashing once I load the files.

I can't believe you can keep the game running that long ive been playing this game for ever and still have my original game I don't remember ever getting past 36 weeks. even when being passive the other gangs would go to jail and be convicted or be bankrupt. I do remember the game getting glitchy after a while though. I always wanted a more long drawn out game.

Might this be the (lazy) reason they put the total war timer in the game? If that's true even modding can't save the game.
