So I noticed that the timing seems off - Fade-to-black scenes with text skip almost immediately, so does the Clip-Clap minigame message at the barkeep. Is there anything that can be done with it? It makes the minigame impossible (I know it's optional, but still - It skips text in some scenes)

I wasn't aware of this issue and don't have a solution.
However, if you submit a bug report on the ScummVM bug tracker, with attached saved games to easily reproduce the issue, a developer will look into it and hopefully there'll be a bug fix on a future build/release.

A short guide on how to submit a bug:

I'll do that. As a side note, where would one go to help with the translation? Should I register on the ScummVM forum?

The game's translation is maintained as a project on the ScummVM weblate platfrom:

I think the ScummVM forums or the ScummVM discord (https://discord.gg/5D8yTtF) are a good place to ask and find someone to get you started with an account -- I believe unauthenticated users can submit suggestions for improvements, but I'm not 100% sure how it works.
