Hi,
I'm not sure if it's just me but F5 does not work to open the (ScummVM) menu, also is there a way to play the enhanced music track not the midi one? I know it's present in the game folder, the one called "ALL" and also the old cd wersion has it (I own an old copy).

It's ctrl+F5

The game is set to Adlib by default, if you change the output to General Midi (and have a good midi synthesizer like VirtualMidiSynth + some good sound fonts installed), the music is way better.

Which enhanced audiotrack are you talking about? I checked all the files and there's is nothing that would resemble any form of "enhanced" soundtrack. The "all" directory only contains midi files.
Most space is used for dialog voices (418MB), 18MB are sound effects and around 55 MB are rooms/scenes.
Is there a file I overlooked?

Besides buying it on GOG I tried to download the game from a abandoned games site, the content of it's directory is identical to the one GOG installs.

If your CD version DOES contain an additional track, can you please upload it somewhere? I'd like to test if I can get it to work.
Looking at the ScummVM code, the MID files in the "ALL" folder are the ones that the game uses for music.
So, if it sounds different it's probably because of what neumi5694 wrote above. Music default is Adlib Emulation. You can try some of the other Audio / Midi options for the game.
Thanks, with the menu problem :)

About the music, enhanced migh be the wrong word to use, I'll play around with midi settings, here's a link to my recording of how both versions sound on my system .

ScummVM has a integrated FluidSynth device, which is not bad. However, I prefer CoolSoft VirtualMidiSynth for the handling and because it can be used for other programs as well.

As soundfonts I use HQ_Orchestral_Soundfont_Collection_v3.

Also Arachno Soundfont is quite good, for some games better than the HQ_Orchestral, but that does the trick mostly.
For some games I use 8gmbgm_enhanced18 however to get a good Retro Feeling.

On my 3rd instance of VMS I have a Roland compatible soundbank loaded.

I just want the music to stop but can't find any control to shut it off. it took me a while to get the game controls, I believe F2 is save and F1 is load. i can't find the quit button, I just put it to my task bar on the bottom and then click close window. if anyone knows how to turn off the music, it would be much appreciated.

Try pressing Ctrl+F5 while playing the game (in Windows), and that should bring up the ScummVM in-game menu. Then select "Options", and from the "Audio" tab set the Music volume to 0, press "Ok" and then "Resume".

For another way to quit the game, you can press Ctrl+F5 (again to bring up the ScummVM in-game menu) and then select "Quit".
Or an easier way, is to just press Alt+F4 while playing the game.

Download ScummVM, load the game with Scumm and change this option:
- MIDI - the first box - select Microsoft GS.

It worked for me, pozdrowienia :)
I can't use my chest/backpack. How do I use or access my items? Like the map or shovel, etc. Where can I find game commands?

You can access the backpack by moving the mouse cursor to the top of the screen.
It opens automatically then.
In the open backpack you can left-click on the items you carry for a comment or direct use (eg. map)
or you can right-click and a context menu will appear with more options (including use, eg. for the shovel)
Trying to open the menu or something but F5 only lowers brightness and F2 just mutes and unmutes. Whether I'm using ctrl or not.
