I love MA:PR, but it's buggy as all hell. I've not heard much about this title and I see infantry in the screenshots.

How does this compare? Does it still have countries and secret allies? Are attack results still non-random? Are there any significant changes to the unit structure? How stable is this? Anything else I should have asked?

I don't have bugs in MA:PR. The old GOG installer was buggy but the updated installer works fine for me.

I played this game for an hour and immediately realized that the gameplay is a bit different than in MA:PR.

There are no countries and borders anymore. The gameworld is like a giant chessboard.

Because there are no countries, you don't place your newly build units somewhere within a territory during deployment phase. Instead you built them directly in factories and there is only one slot per factory.

Another difference is, that you can build infantery units and place them inside buildings for a defensive bonus.

Now units have a morale. If it gets low, you can't attack the enemy with this unit.

There is also a day/night cycle. In the night units can't see as far as at daytime.

The enemy is able to shoot back immediately after he was attacked.

In my opinion the game added some good features but I really miss the division of the map in countries and the secred allies, which made the Massive Assault series unique.
