Character voices have pops and crackles. Could someone help me to correct this ?

They can use it, if they want. It would have been configured right from the start if they had used my installer to prepare it instead of the Endroz Windows installer. Endroz's installer is good, but has not been updated for Vista or Windows 7 and does not include the DOS version. Mine installs the DOS version with all of the updated patches and properly configured to run in DOSBox.
My site is the Net's largest Sierra tech resource for getting the Sierra classics to run on modern machines. The Sierra SCI games tend to be quirky. The SCI engine is not a one-size-fits-all engine. For each game, the engine was often heavily modified to fit the needs of that game. I could help them avoid a lot of pit falls that they will surly stumble into, if they don't know about them ahead of time.

And this is the exact reason, why I pointed them to you and sierrahelp.com in form of a suggestion ticket :)

FrodoBaggins: it won't let me save the configeration without admin access. The thing is, I *have* admin access, so why can't I save it?
I suspect this issue is affecting my Saved Games as well, as it won't let me load any games now.
Can anyone help with this?

Collector: it is probably UAC that is preventing you from saving your changes. The Program Files directory is a protected system folder. You can turn UAC off, but I would not recommend that. Microsoft added it for security reasons. If your Windows profile (Windows login) is admin, with UAC turned off malware such as spyware and viruses will run with admin privileges. To save your changes, go to Start and in the "Search programs and files" box type notepad.exe. At the top of the Start Menu, right click on "Notepad.exe" and choose "Run as administrator" to start Notepad. Go to File > Open... and browse to the config file to edit the file.
I just made a patch fix for the problems with this release. You can also try it. Patch Fix

Is there anyway that your suggestions can be stickied?
I can't find anything like that in the forum, but your sierra site, your installers, and the various suggestions you have for bringing some compatibility to these old games are undoubtedly invaluable to the entire community.
+1 for a collector compatibility sticky!!!

Collector: Changing the RESOURCE.CFG to "audioDrv = DACTHUND.DRV" will give better results. The Sierra SoundBlaster driver leaves a lot to be desired.
lol i did that and now i have no sound at all
