So I'm sure this has probably been addressed somewhere but now that the Leisure Suit Larry games have been release for both PC and Mac any chance the GK series (and all the Sierra games for that matter) will follow suit?

I'm sure in most cases it's just a dosbox emulator, so maybe we won't be so lucky since I'm pretty sure GKII and III were windows only games, but I'd love to play GKIII again on my Mac. One of my all time favourites.
GK2 runs under dosbox, as does GK1.

There was a windows version of GK1 and GK2, but they don't work on modern pcs. I think they were designed under 16bit windows.

All the SCI windows games were 16 bit windows. But also had dos versions.

Well that's good to know about GK1 & 2, guess 3 is still up in the air.

The downside is that since GOG packages everything as executable zips (instead of just plain vanilla zip files) if you're on a Mac, short of running emulation, it doesn't look like there's a way to get those files out to throw them in a Mac version of DosBox...

Kind of frustrating that GOG has a bunch of games that *can* run on Mac, but because of how they've wrapped/packaged them we cant. I don't even mind doing the leg-work, I just need to be able to access the files.

See here. I don't recall if there is a more Mac friendly one or not.

FYI, soon GOG should be adding a bunch of classic releases, i.e. DOSBox/ScummVM titles, to the Mac catalog. I'm too lazy to find the actual blue post.
