I have "talked" to everyone. Apparently a squirrel is supposed to appear but it hasn't. I'm on day 4 and while not the last thing to do today I'm not sure how to get it to work. I've closed the game and loaded the file back up already.

... turns out I need to do the "talk" icon. And the gear one wasn't what was met. I am so sorry.
