i've purchased the game yesterday, tried to download it and install it three times: when i'm double clicking the icon, i get an error message which states that the file is damaged and can't be opened.

i've installed it on a macbook pro w/ OS X 10.8.5 mt lion.

any suggestion?

What size is the file after you've downloaded it? Have you confirmed that you have plenty of free space on your hard drive?

I have the same problem.
I have the same problem. Bought the game and downloaded it several times. Overtime after installation on my MacBook Pro it says the file is damaged. Can anyone help?

I have the 2015 MacBook Pro 2.9 Ghz, 300 GB of free space on my hard drive.
Newest MacOS. Still Gabriel will not run.

Me as well using a Macbook Pro.
The following (found in the FAQ) did the trick:

b) Use this workaround if using the Download didn't help:
- Go to Applications -> Terminal
- Type in:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine
but don't press Enter.
- Drag the application to the Terminal window, this should add the path.
- Press Enter.
