I´ve just bought GK2. But I cant download it. The first file has some dameged data. What can I do?

The message is "The settup files ar corrupted". Can this be fixed?

Are you using the GOG downloader to get the game?

I, too, bought and downloaded GK2 using the GOG downloader. When it was finished, there was one ~2GB .exe file and *another* ~2GB of chunk files in the resulting directory. The .exe by itself is corrupt, and I didn't even care to try the .exe in conjunction with the chunk files as I'm burning it to disc after install (and not interested in using twice the disc space and transfer time to do so).

I'm downloading GK2 via my browser now, instead.

The GOG downloader works the vast majority of the time, but GK2 is not the only title to produce corrupt downloads (though I do not recall which was the other).

Yes I have used GOG downloader but an error accures there too that says that it´s not a valid Win32-program and that I should use another file ore fix this one. It seems to be the same problem that "ancientgamer" is discribeing.

Now my pc is telling me that the corrupted file cant be used by this windows-version. Is that something that GOG can fix?

I had this issue with GK1 and the downloader (thought it told me during the CRC check after download of a corruption). I reported the error to support and they fixed it, have you reported this to support yet?

Yes I have and got a respons so hopefuly they can help me. I just love the game and are playing GK 1 righet now. (Still hoping for a GK4)

GK4 would be a welcome addition for completists like myself.

There seem to be no solution to my damaged file. Today a person from support e-maild the file to me but the same problem occured. The protocol is wring. I belive that the problem is within GOG. Mayby the adress the this particulure file is damaged and then the only thing that have to be done is to fix the link to the file and then I can download it. Am I wrong?
