bioshark: Just now, in my library I can see that FTL Advanced Edition has a new version: v. 2.3.0

I haven't updated a game on gog.com so far, so I am wondering how to handle this update. Which of the following choices should I take:

- 1) Download the new version and simply install over the existing one? I guess I have to make a back-up of my config file then.
- 2) Uninstall the existing version and install the new one.

On a different note, I am curious what this update is about? Is is a new version of the game, or an update of the installer file. I can't find a release note :)

As to how best to install the update, I cannot comment on your case as I'm on a Mac.

I'm surprised how many bug fixes are related to saving the game mid fight or mid jump.

Just install over the old one, no problem.
