The good reviews and feedback made me buy this game, however the fact that you can't adjust resolution - or actually run it fullscreen - on a 4:3 monitor makes it unplayable.

I use an old CRT with a decent refresh rate and so far this problem has never come up.
Any tips on how I could make the game scale?

(Switching to a higher resolution is *not* an option, I want to keep my refresh rate above 100 Hz).

Good question. I have heard that the game does not have a non widescreen option, which is none too good, but does not affect me.
I play it in windowed mode on a 4:3 screen. The game even auto pauses, when I switch to a different window.

You can't easily downscale or change aspect ratio of a sprite-based GUI and graphics.

Hi. I play this game on a 4:3 twelve years old 17"CRT LG screen with no problems at all running fullscreen or a window...

I wish I could change resolution, but the game is fully playabe and enjoyable that way... Already reached to the rebel boss ship twice..... and twice got fu***d

I feel your pain. While not perfect optimally, have you tried manually moving the window from left to right to access what you need during different aspects of the game? While the height of the window was fine, on my moniter, it was just too wide, but I could still play, and battle just fine by doing this. (Yes it was a little bit of a pain sometimes, but is quite playable..at least in my situation)

Edit: Just applied the new patch available (and should show as updated on your games account page), and happy to report that the game will now play fine on my monitor stretched at a resolution of 1024 X 768 :-D

The game's resolution is 1280x720 so you'll either have to play it at 1280x960 (if you have it on the right full screen mode the game should letterbox itself) or play it at 1280x720 and use the controls to correct the aspect ratio (should be easy if it's a decent monitor).

What resolution do you run your desktop at?
