Kestrel with no fuel, no missiles, no drone tech, but mad dodging skill and bitchin' shields vs Rock Assault.
They tried to beam to my place, got beaten up and resumed ranged battle. I can take out their shields, but deal no damage. They can't even breach mine shield with all the misses. My shield, engine and pilot guys got golden ranks from all the evasion in this battle alone. Weaponry ranks up a bit slower.

Shame really, the very first run on Easy after the tutorial, got to the penultimate sector, and got stuck in this.
Oh, yeah... They managed to scratch me once in err... 20 minutes.
Meanwhile the entire crew got golden ranks in their positions.

I think, I'll just open all the bulkhheads and call it a day. I cannot beat AI in boredown.

I've not tried it (so there might be something to stop you), but couldn't you try and escape the fight by jumping?

No fuel - no jumping.

That happened to me as well. It's why I always snap up any good shield breaching weapon whenever I can find one. Or failing that, a teleporter and a couple of Rock Men.
