The ship looks like the Red-Tail! If you kept one of those lasers you started with then you could be poking away one shot at a time.

EDIT: Also you really want to keep somebody on one of the weaker weapons like the laser. I am told otherwise the fights get really annoying.

So the big weakness of this ship is its weapons are separated from the rest of the ship so you can send in your wrecking crew to destroy the missile launcher and it will never get repaired for the fight. Rinse and repeat for the beam weapon.

After that, you need a way to bring down Class 4 Shields and do damage.

You will have a lot of fun with the second part of the boss fight. He comes back with a Defense 2 Drone. There are several places on the web you can look up how the boss fight works.

Thats awesome, Thymara, how long did that take? Is the AI mode still repairing stuff or can't it cope with the hull breaches?

no it cant repair with the hull breaches (if it could I would have been able to dmg it with crow teleported to there ship so I will is could :P)
it took me about 5 trys to get it right. I started doing it after I saw I can kill the people near the weapons and completly disable it I thought it will be posible to kill them all and to win like that :P
btw after I posted it I jamped and startet the fight from the begining and got it to phase 3 but at this phase it have the better Shield (with the hp bar) so I couldent teleport there any thing (no crow or bombs) so I died...
