I saw in official forums version 1.02.7 released but GOG version is still 1.02.6 . When we will see new version ? Thanks .

What is the patch for? A link would be nice, too.

A quick look around the official forums turns up no 1.02.7 patch thread, or announcement I can see.

Looks like GOG has a patch for 1.02.8, though downloading and running it says "Patch Already Applied", with Exit and Launch Game as the only options.

However, loading up the game, it still says 1.02.6 for me....

Thats just the gog internal numbering, it is explained in the patch thread here.

That update was just an GOG internal installer update without touching the content?
With also introducing an "ALMOST" correct numbering scheme?

That's crazy... when I saw the version number, potentially the game version number, I was hoping that GOG installer version numbers will be in future syncronized with the game version number :/

Just bought the game today, the patch runs and patches the game for me, but when I check the version number it still says 1.02.6 for me as well. I'd like to know if the patch actually worked and is just displaying the old version number or if the patch really didn't work at all.

1.02.6 is the lastest game version, there is no newer one. 1.02.8 is just the gog numbering for their patcher.

GOG should always use the real game version number. Here is a community wish for this.
Everyone annoyed and confused by the actual behaviour should vote there:

Add version number to GOG releases, e.g. Earth 2140 (release 1.2)
