I've owned Frozen Synapse since long before it arrived on GOG and am strongly considering getting the expansion. I see that the game card doesn't mention requiring that Frozen Synapse be owned on GOG, or at all, but doesn't say that it's a standalone expansion either. Can I simply buy FS:R and play it without having to install Frozen Synapse first? And would there be any problems caused by the fact that I don't own it on GOG?
