Just noticed, the countdown on the library for the download to be available is counting down for april 25th, not april 24.
Are those of us downloading on GoG getting the game one day later?

But the 24th is in 10 hours. The countdown for the GoG download links is counting down from 34 hours currently. That's midnight to the 25th, not 24th.

I noticed this too, I hope this isn't true. Official sources said the game will be released on the 24th of April at 3 pm cest. :)

Since they are doing the release at the same time globally, local times will literally be "all over the map". So yes, depending on your timezone the game could release on the 25th.

3pm CEST is 8am CDT ( Central Daylight - US ), and the unlock countdown on Steam matches that too.

mine says its 15 hours left, so that would make it 14:00 on the 24th for me. in norway. :(

Games rarely release in the morning in Europe. Devs often want to release in the same day all over the world so we always have to wait for the US West Coast. It's just 5 AM over there right now.

when the release in Russia?

If i calculated right it's less than hour for me(at time of writing), The Netherlands, for the release. I expect the same for the Russian Federation.
