MaxDanner: In my opinion there should be an option in the settings to reduce the amount of smoke and steam or even disable it. I think the current amount is too much, when one placed a full set of factories and mines together with the heavy smoke of the generator and the steam of other buildings. I set the particles to a quarter, but that doesn't change much.

lenny3: I don't have a problem with too much smoke. You can always rotate the view to see what you need. Taking smoke and effects away would ruin the whole atmosphere. But yeah, there should be a switch in options to disable effects for those who don't like it or have slower machines.
