Every time I hit play in GOG galaxy, all that happens is it syncs my saves to the cloud and then the 'Play' button goes green again. I've run the program by itself as an administrator with the same results. PC is up to date with other solutions I've seen in the forum.

If you don't need cloud saves, I'd just recommend turning them off for now. Apologies that I can't offer any greater solution than that.
