Ok so I've been having issues ever since I got this game. The usual .dll file I had to update windows to get so I could run it, then this weird thing where the game window seemed to sit just off centre so I had a green line across the bottom and down the right side of the screen, then repeated crashes. These were things I could live with, but then I was hit by my current problem for the first time.

So my issue right now is that, for the second time, I'm dealing with my screens going black and my PC seemingly completely freezing up whenever I launch the game. When this first happened I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, which seemed to fix the issue (and all the other ones I mentioned above) which was great. Though I sacrificed my existing save file in the process.

I thought that was that until I tried to run the game for my stream last week after an update, and the same issue cropped back up. Black screen, PC totally unresponsive.

Since then I've tried the following to fix it (and clearly failed):
Verify Game Files
Uninstall and Reinstall (without erasing player data)
Running Game as Admin
Running Game from Folder Executable

I'm fairly confident that my drivers and such aren't the issue since I was playing the game quite easily for a couple weeks prior to this happening. I have absolutely no clue what's wrong or how to fix it, though I plan to try uninstalling and reinstalling again this week.

Can anyone help, please?

Well good news, after uninstalling and reinstalling again I no longer get the black screen or the PC lock up on launch. But I do have the slightly off-centre window again with the strange green lines down the side and across the bottom.

Maybe the game does not use native resolution of your monitor?

Maybe but I don't see why it wouldn't. My monitor is set to 1920x1080 and hasn't had an issue with any other games in this regard. So of my compontents are a bit on the older side so it could simply be my GPU not playing nice with the game, though that wouldn't explain the other issue I had been dealing with.

At least I can still play the game with the green-lines present.

Such "common sense" thinking can sometimes be delusive in the case of any software. ;)

True. I'm going to un/reinstall it again to see if that fixes the problem like it had previous. If not I'll likely just live with it for now.
