I'm considering picking up a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, but I want to make sure I know what I'm getting.

I've heard some reviewers say that the hat switch on the throttle is 4-way and but the Thrustmaster website says it's an 8-way switch. What kind of hat switch is on the throttle?

I'm concerned about this because I plan to use this throttle hat switch for controlling up/down thrust and left/right thrust in mods like Diaspora and Beyond the Red Line. I will also be need to be able to use combinations of these thrust controls (up thrust and right thrust simultaneously) by moving the switch to the diagonal positions. Has anyone with a Warthog HOTAS tried this configuration?

There is both an 8-way switch and a 4-way switch on the throttle. And yeah, the eight way works fine for the lateral thrusters.
