HOW DO I KILL THOSE ANNOYING RED FOOLS
i forgot. most of my weapons seem to do nothing

The first couple of times you meet them in Freespace 1, your weapons really do next to nothing. I think the dumbfire missiles in "Out of the Dark, Into the Night" has some chance of killing the scorpion. But you really have to work at it. The lasers have no shot at harming the craft's shields.

If you just meant how to kill them in general, here's a thread for tips on dogfighting:
